Basic setting (important for correct setting of the radio clock)

Violent shocks or magnetic fields can cause the hands to deviate from the internally stored radio time.

The basic control is used to resynchronization of the hands with the radio time stored internally.

Hold SET and MODE pressed for 5 sec. The seconds hand stops. The screen will show H.P.

Set hands to a full hour to synchronize. Example - 4 o'clock: The hour hand is at 4 o'clock, the min/sec hands. at 12 p.m.

Press and hold MODE until the second hand moves. Wait until the hands are just before a full hour and release the MODE button.

Press MODE step by step to move the second hand to exactly 12:00h.

Press the SET button. A number flashes on the LCD screen.

Press MODE step by step until the displayed hour digit appears on the LCD screen "5" for 5:00 p.m.

Note the watch seems to set itself for CET (1 hour ahead).

If you set the hour digit above to 1 hour ahead eg if the hour hand shows 5 set the digit to 6 it will show GMT when the clock syncs.

Press SET to confirm

The clock will monitor reception of the radio signal and will then set itself to the correct time. This procedure may take up to 8 minutes.

Check DCF77 Reception

Your radio clock seeks to receive the DCF77 radio signal every day between 02:00 and 03:00. Reception may be disrupted due to storms or electronic devices.

 

Press the SET button.

The last reception attempt was successful if the seconds hand moves to 12:00h.

The last reception attempt failed if the second hand moves to 06:00h.

The remaining seconds will scroll on the LCD screen. The clock displays the stored radio time.

 

Manual synchronization to the DCF77 transmitter

Hold MODE for 5 seconds.

The LCD screen displays signal reception. This procedure takes approx. 3-8 mins.

 

 

LCD screen display setting

The LCD screen can display the day of the week or the date.

Press MODE to select display mode.

 

 

LCD display language menu

You can set the LCD screen to English or German language.

Press MODE until the day of the week is set.

Press and hold SET for 2 seconds, until the display shows EN (English) or DE (German).

Press MODE to select.

Press SET to save your selection. The day of the week is now displayed in the selected language.

 

 

Manual time setting (without radio mode)

The time must be set manually when operating outside the range of the DCF77 radio signal or in another time zone.

Press SET for 2 seconds when the date is displayed on the LCD screen.

The LCD screen shows HR for 3 seconds then the internally stored time format.

Press MODE gradually to set the new time format on the LCD screen (24h).

Press SET to save your selection.

The LCD screen shows MIN for 3 seconds then the internally stored minute format.

Press MODE gradually in case you need to adjust the minute format.

Press SET to save your selection. The hands then adapt to the new local time.

 

 

 

Follow the instructions in point 1 if you wish to return Central European radio time (basic setting).
